3 Ingredients plus seasoning are more than enough for this fresh Coleslaw without Mayo salad. It goes so well with meat, pulled pork, brisket, burgers and grilled chicken, or with most of the grilled summer goodies!
I will skip the argument that is ‘good’ for you and stick with the aspects of taste and flavour. Tangy and mouthwatering, while crispy to complement the softness of a BBQ meat.

Coleslaw without Mayo
Servings: 8 People
Ingredients
- 1 medium Purple Cabbage , shredded, inside core removed
- ¼ medium white Cabbage , shredded, inside core removed
- 2 Carrots , shredded sideways
- 120 ml White Distilled Vinegar
- 40 gr Sugar
- 2 teaspoons Fennel Seeds , crushed
- 1 teaspoon Sea Salt
- ½ teaspoon freshly ground Black Pepper
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk the vinegar, sugar, fennel seeds, salt and pepper.
- In a large bowl add the cabbages and carrots, mix well, cover and let sit for 1-4 hours. Before serving, toss and place the salad in a colander to get rid of the excess dressing and serve.
