Zaatar Chicken Burgers
Servings: 5 People
Ingredients
- 1 Kg Chicken Mince
- 2 tbsp Zaatar Mixture
- 2 Medium Courgettes , grated
- 3 Scallions , white and green parts, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp Sweet Chilli Flakes , ground
- 3-4 Eggs
- 1 ½ tbsp Dijon Mustard
- ½ cup Fresh Parsley , chopped
- 2 tbsp EVOO , Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- ½ cup Breadcrumbs , preferably Panko
- 1 ½ tsp Fine Sea Salt
- ½ tsp freshly cracked Black Pepper
Instructions
- Add in a large bowl the chicken mince and mix with the rest of the ingredients.
- Form into a bit smaller than tennis balls and then flat them out to about 2 ½ cm thickness, preferably using a cookie cutter.
- Place them in an oven proof dish, no need to add any oil and place in a preheated oven, broiler/grill on at max degrees and rack set to the top part. After 8’ flip them over and cook for 7’. Serve over a pitta bread along with rice and grilled vegetables
