Oat Biscuits
Servings: 10 People
Ingredients
- 3 cups Oats
- 1 cup A-P Flour
- 250g Butter , cut in small cubes and kept at room temperature
- ¾ tsp Baking Soda , diluted in 100ml water
- ½ cup light Brown Sugar
- 1 tsp Sea Salt
- 1 tsp coarse Sea Salt
Instructions
- Turn on the oven to 190°C, air circulation and set the rack to the middle position.
- Add the oats, flour, sugar and sea salt into a bowl of a food processor with the metal blade attached and pulse until ground.
- Add the butter and pulse.
- Slowly add the water with the baking soda while pulsing. A crumble dough will be achieved.
- Scoop a tbsp mixture to your palm and form a ping-pong size ball. Use an oven dish lined with parchment paper and add the balls to it allowing some space between them as you will be flattening them.
- To flatten them with the use of a flat bottom water glass, dip it to some flour and press the balls all the way down to 5mm thickness. Sprinkle some of the coarse salt over the biscuits and bake for about 22’.
