My Negroni recipe adopts the proportions of the classic Negroni to create a stronger drink. Whereas tradition calls for equal parts gin, sweet red vermouth, and Campari, my version increases the gin and decreases the sweet stuff.
Negroni Cocktail
Ingredients
- 40 ml Gin
- 30 ml Campari
- 20 ml Sweet Vermouth
- 5 dashes Grapefruit Bitters , or Orange Bitters
- 1 Orange Twist
- Ice cubes
Instructions
- Pour the spirits and grapefruit bitters over ice into a chilled mixing glass.
- Rub the orange peel around the rim of a short glass.
- Stir and strain into the glass.
- Add couple of ice cubes.
- Garnish with the orange twist.
