Gently peel the cloves and add into jars.
Place medium pot over high heat and pour the vinegar. Bring to a boil and remove from the heat. Allow just to cool a bit and pour in the jars with the garlic cloves. Immediately close the jars with their lids and keep on your countertop for an hour or so to cool.
Place in the refrigerator and enjoy for the months to come, always washing under running water the cloves that you want to use.
